Denver Happy Hour @ Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club

The Co-Host for May is Denver Happy Hour is Michelle Jacobson (Commercial Broker, Specializing in Retail :). I met Michelle through word of mouth.  She represents a lot of restaurants and asked if I would host a happy hour.  She's a go-getter!  She lined up Nocturne Jazz & Supper Club for our next happy hour.  I've hosted there once before and it was a blast.  I was very impressed by the restaurant as it is like no other.  Bi-level lounge & eatery serving up eclectic mix of small plates & cocktails amid live jazz music. The staff was super knowledgable about the ins and outs of the restaurant and the owners (adorable couple) were incredible too.  They did a amazing job at creating such a special space.  So please come join us!

OUR STORY
In 2014, we signed the lease on a warehouse space in RiNo that included a forklift, a sketchy staircase and mezzanine, and beautiful tall acoustically magic original wood ceilings. We poured some literal blood, sweat, and tears into repurposing 1330 27th Street into Nocturne.
We dreamt of making Nocturne into a place that would make jazz more accessible to a broader audience, be a unique hospitality experience and become a destination not be missed when visiting Denver. Nocturne is the result of a lot of hard work and continual support from friends, partners, family, and community. We opened the doors in March 2015 and are proud to have brought the modern jazz and supper club experience to life now for over two years. Our team is as passionate about hospitality as they are music and we come to work every day to make Nocturne a special place for the community of Denver, the staff that work for us, and for you, our guests.
Scott Mattson is a creative and operational specialist with experience in music performance, music education, hospitality management, and the fine wine industry. A Certified Sommelier with a fervent obsession for the guest experience, Scott directs Nocturne's restaurant operations, manages the music programming, and pours a lot of champagne.
Nicole Mattson With 12 years of management experience, an undergrad degree in hospitality and an MBA from the University of Denver, Nicole is a guru in hospitality business leadership. She formerly helped open award-winning luxury hotels in Vail, created service cultures from scratch, and increased revenues through pricing and marketing strategies at Sage Hospitality. Now she's proud to be wearing the many hats of a entrepreneur, including full-time “restaurant Mom” to the Nocturne team.
Chef Greg Weadick A Colorado native who spent time in Portland, Oregon leading the culinary program for a high-end French catering company, Greg also held an apprenticeship with master chefs from Switzerland prior to returning to Colorado. Prior to Nocturne, Greg spent some time leading the kitchen at Ivy at the Glen and curing meats and cheeses at Osteria Marco. When not in the kitchen, Greg has played the guitar for the past seven years and his knowledge of music helps him in creating menus inspired by iconic jazz albums at Nocturne.
