Brian is running for University of Colorado Regent At-Large in the 2012 general election. This race will be unique as it will be only of two races for which every Coloradoan may cast a vote---the other is President of the United States! The nine-members of Board of Regents govern the University of Colorado system, which includes all four campuses, are elected by the people of Colorado. There is one Regent for each of the seven congressional districts (seven) and two Regents At-Large (elected statewide). He ran for CU Regent At-large in 2006 and escaped victory by only 0.4%---He received 634,000 votes from Coloradoans. The term is six years.
